CoinDesk’s Consensus Festival is the world’s largest, longest-running, and most influential gathering that brings together all sides of crypto, blockchain, and Web3. Since its inception in 2015, Consensus has served as grounds for calibration, collaboration, and resolution amid a profound technological transformation towards blockchain technology. Our recently-completed 2022 Web3athon was the largest multi-chain hack to date, with 17 chains involved, $800,000 in prizes, and dozens of new teams to Web3.

To get started:

1. Register on HackerEarth

2. Join the Discord server

3. Review the Hackathon Handbook, join teams, or form your own

4. Review the sponsor bounties and judging criteria

5. Review the sponsor projects or suggestions for inspiration

6. Follow the sponsor's bounty carefully and get to BUIDLing!

7. All projects must include the sponsor's technology to qualify

8. Code in Github preferably

9. Review the resources for each sponsor below to find all the information you need to make a successful project and find the sponsor judging criteria

10. Join the hackathon kickoff on Discord on 4/17 @ 10 AM EST!

11. Attend the virtual workshops and webinars for the sponsors starting 5/2.

As part of Consensus, the 2023 Web3athon will focus on bringing web2 developers into web3 and supporting web3 native builders and newcomers with partner grant programs awarding cash prizes to winning teams.  This hackathon is laser-focused on teams and projects open to seeking out the right protocol to build on.
